Introduction:
The Business Studies department is an active and increasingly successful department within Cyfarthfa High School. Students have the opportunity to study, Business Studies at Key Stage 4 (GCSE) and Key Stage 5 (AS Level & A Level). However, the Business Studies department does not just provide for older students in the school; regular events such as Dynamo and Business Mornings are for the benefit of all.
Why is Business Studies Important?
Business Studies is important for a number of reasons:
- Provides a good background to the world’s business environment.
- A good practical approach to studying, whilst maintaining the academic rigour.
- Offers a valuable and fascinating insight into the world of business.
- Entry onto degrees including: Management, Administration etc.
Meet the Staff:
Miss. R. George – Miss George is Head of Business Studies
and Careers
, and has overall responsibility for the smooth running of the department. She teaches Business Studies at Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5. Miss George also teaches ICT to Key Stage 3 and
is involved with the delivery of Careers Education throughout Key Stages 3 and 4.
Mrs. H. Powell – Mrs Powell is a teacher of Business Studies. She teaches Business Studies at Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5. Mrs Powell is also a Key Stage 4 Manager.
